The problem

HR shouldn't live in spreadsheets.

A spreadsheet works for ten people. As the business grows, records, leave, attendance and pay drift into separate files, and every month someone has to reconcile them by hand.

Scattered employee records

Contracts in one folder, contact details in a sheet, expiry dates in someone's head.

Manual leave and attendance

Requests over chat, balances counted by hand, attendance kept apart from pay.

Repetitive monthly payroll

Every month starts from a copied spreadsheet and ends with the same corrections.

Limited employee self-service

Staff ask HR for their balance, their payslip and their attendance record.

ROOBERP connects the workflow.

Monthly runs
Generate a run for the month and review every draft payslip before it counts.
Mid-month joiners
Pay is prorated for the days worked, with a note on the payslip.
Unpaid leave and absence
Approved unpaid leave and absent days are deducted automatically.
Day-weighted raises
A mid-month salary change is weighted by the days at each salary.
Pay components

A4 payslips
Print or save as PDF, with earnings, deductions and net pay.

Employee self-service

Give employees their own HR workspace.

Employees find their own answers without asking HR, and only ever see their own information.

  • Own profile. Read-only, and the national ID is masked as ••••1234.

  • Leave. See balances per leave type, request leave and withdraw a pending request.

  • Attendance. Check their own attendance history without asking HR.

  • Payslips. Only finalized payslips appear. Drafts are never shown.

Security and privacy

HR information should not be visible to everyone.

Fine-grained permissions

Personal information has its own view and edit permissions, separate from general HR access.

Encrypted identifiers

National ID and document numbers are stored encrypted and left out of the audit log.

Private file storage

Documents sit in private storage for your company, checked by content and never served publicly.

Audit history

Changes are logged, and so are views and downloads of employee documents.

Common questions

Can employees access their own HR information?

Yes. Link an employee to a user account and they get My HR: their own profile, leave balances and requests, attendance history and finalized payslips. They never see another employee's data.

Can I control who sees employee personal information?

Yes. Personal details, emergency contacts and documents need a separate view permission, and editing needs another. General HR access does not include them.

Does payroll handle mid-month joining?

Yes. A mid-month joiner is paid for the days worked, and a note on the payslip says so. A mid-month salary change is weighted by the days at each salary.

Can payroll connect with accounting?

Yes, when ROOBERP Accounting is on for your company. Recording a salary payment posts a balanced journal entry, and reversing it removes the entry. Without Accounting, payments are tracked in HRM only.

Can employees see draft payslips?

No. Employees see a payslip only after the payroll run is finalized. If a run is reopened, its payslips are hidden again.

Can I manage multiple branches?

Yes. Branches are shared across ROOBERP. Set a branch on each employee, filter the team leave calendar by branch, and scope holidays to a branch or to everyone.
